Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Sudbury, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing accounting operations for a non-profit organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to contribute hands-on when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting activities.

• Conduct account and bank reconciliations to validate financial data.

• Assist with revenue recognition and financial planning and analysis (FP& A) efforts.

• Develop and support long-range financial planning initiatives.

• Utilize Zoho software to manage and streamline accounting tasks.

• Provide support in processing transactions and documentation as required.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with non-profit financial regulations.

Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

• Expertise in account and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with revenue recognition and long-term financial planning.

• Proficiency in Zoho accounting software is highly preferred.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

• Prior experience in non-profit accounting is a significant advantage.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
