    Your Role at KIK

     

    As a QA Supervisor-2 nd Shift, you will oversee quality assurance operations in a chemical manufacturing environment. This is a 2 nd shift position with the hours from 4pm-2am, Monday-Thursday and OT on Fridays (10-hour shifts during peak season).

    What You'll Be Doing

    + Review, Design and approve all incoming Component Report

    + Organization and maintenance of all Incoming Component standards in compliance with FDA regulatory

    + Organization of calibration program for department instruments. Ensure these programs are completed as per in house SOP

    + Introduction of new methods and nay regulations applicable to testing of packaging components

    + Investigation of non-conformance packaging components

    + Customer and supplier liaison on quality issues

    + Close liaison with production, compounding, sales, and purchasing department

    + Ensure the quality system has been followed and GMP standards adhered to

    + Organization and administration of training programs

    + Special projects as assigned by the QA Manager

    + Develop strong working relationship with cross functional departments and employees

    + Review of production line parameters, and performance for adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Guidelines, and Facility Procedures

    + Coordinates the Quality Improvement Process with an emphasis in Statistical Process Control techniques

    + Maintenance of the Quality Retain Program

    + Ordering lab equipment and supplies

    + Responsible for laboratory cleanliness and organization

    + Supervises Process Control Quality Assurance activities during product start-ups, experimental orders. test run, and validations

    + Assists in developing improved inspections to reduce off-quality product

    + Prepares for all Quality Audits and provides documents/data as requested

    + Routinely walks the production floor to validate quality processes and product by observing, engaging, and helping to improve quality activities during all production and test runs

    + Other duties as required

    What You’ll Bring

    + 5+ years of Quality and Supervisory experience

    + High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree is preferred

    + Any relevant certifications are a plus

    + Chemical experience is required

    + Must be Bilingual in Spanish; both verbal and written

    + Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment

    + Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures

    + Strong math aptitude with strong analytical skills

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Sel-motivated, innovative and organized

    + Demonstrated people skills and passion for leading in a team environment

    We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $70,000-75,000 an annual incentive bonus target The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
