    This key leadership role reports to the VP, Medical Digital Operations and Programs, and serves as a core member of the Sage Business Unit Leadership Team. The Senior Director will lead the PMO practice for Sage, driving commercial project and program prioritization, resource allocation, and governance to ensure strategic alignment and execution excellence.

    What you will do:

    • Establish, plan and manage portfolio governance board. Evaluate tradeoffs within division.

    • Manage divisional portfolio scope to meet divisional or inter-divisional goals.

    • Manage and optimize divisional or inter-divisonal portfolio timelines and launch cadence.

    • Manage and optimize divisional or inter-divisional portfolio budgets. Drive project and program cost efficiencies. Drive decisions on divisional or inter-divisional portfolio spend.

    • Drive the use of Quality Planning and Execution across all aspects of the division. Mentor others in quality excellence.

    • Drive a best practice approach to risk management across the business. Set the tone for appropriate divisional or inter-divisional project / program risk-taking.

    • Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop best practice PMO resourcing strategies to ensure optimal and efficient delivery of business objectives. Ensure deployment of competency development strategies for staff across the organization.

    • Advance and foster strategic stakeholder strategies to manage, engage and guide stakeholders of varying expectations and needs at senior leadership levels.

    • Deploy industry best practices for communications strategies for broad reaching programs across the organization.

    • Responsible for ensuring/coaching others in effective meeting management and group facilitation activities for programs/projects in scope of PMO.

    • Manage divisional/department strategic planning activities to meet divisional or inter-divisional/department or global goals.

    • Develops other people managers to set talent strategies for their departments. May manage leaders of departments. Has successful working relationships with senior internal and external personnel in various departments across the organization. Leading role for significant companywide integration or transformation.

    • Leads PMO function and strategy for a business and may lead for division. Directs business portfolio timelines and launch cadence. Directs department portfolio spend decisions. Leads a portfolio governance board for department and/or division.

    Minimum Qualifications (Required):

    • BS or equivalent and 10+ years of work experience

    Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):

    • PMP or equivalent

    • MBA and/or MS preferred
