Our Field Service (FSE) organization travels to power plants
across the U.S. and where our employees are responsible for the maintenance and
upgrades to some of the largest and most powerful electrical generation
machinery in the world including gas turbines, steam turbines and generators.
This program is the entry point to our best-in-class field service
organization!
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Duringyour first 12 months, you will complete classroom and lab training inOrlando and participate in on-the-job training with experienced engineers,working at multiple customer sites across the US.
+ Workdirectly with our leading staff of FSE's to develop skills that includeequipment operation, maintenance, job site safety, project management,leadership, and Siemens Energy’s business systems
+ Onceyou complete training, as a Field Service Engineer, you'll be supervisingtechnicians and mechanics working on steam turbine generator equipmentduring power plant maintenance shutdowns (outages), both planned andunplanned system outages which can occur due to equipment performanceissues.
+ Responsiblefor disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling turbines and generators
+ Coordinatingto the upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems on steam turbinegenerators to increase power output and efficiency
+ Collaboratingwith our worldwide engineering staff to perform niche mechanical andelectrical testing and you will serve as the primary customer contactduring outages and ensure that repairs are made in a timely and accuratemanner!
What You Bring
+ Highschool diploma or equivalent experience required. 5+ years of proventechnical leadership experience in power plant or facilities maintenanceand operations preferred, open to new graduates with internshipexperience. Associate's or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
+ Resolvemechanical problems while working closely on a team and with our customersto provide outstanding service
+ Youare a self-starting leader, who enjoys using all available resources andleading others to build innovative solutions to challenging mechanicalissues
+ Youenjoy travel – so much that you are okay with traveling for extendedperiods of time. Typically, Our FSE's will work up to 250 days per yearfor anywhere from 2-15 weeks at a time. While deployed, you will workextended working hours of up to 12-14 hours per day includingweekends/holidays, 6-7 days per week. A typical work week can be 60-84hours.
+ Youare able to; ascends/descends a ladder/position yourself to examineequipment, including in confined spaces, move boxes weighing up to 40pounds, work in outdoor weather conditions, walk long distances and sharecramped office trailer with other employees. And this program offers aflexible schedule that allows you to enhance your professional impact,your earning power, and offers work life balance.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the
United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work
authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be
eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power
generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power
generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and
digitalization of the fleet.

+ This role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits, including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually, and the annual incentive target is from 0% to insert 10% of the base salary
