A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of our dynamic field operations team, you'll travel across North America to oversee the commissioning and testing of our cutting-edge High Voltage Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) equipment. Your role combines hands-on technical leadership with customer engagement, ensuring successful installations and empowering others through training. You'll be responsible for commissioning High Voltage GIS systems, performing on-site high voltage testing and partial discharge diagnostics, and installing and commissioning advanced switching devices such as phase synchronization systems and diagnostic cameras. You'll also train and guide contractors and customers on proper procedures and safety standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Commissioning of components and systems in line with commissioning programs and procedures that have been released
+ High-voltage test and if required partial discharge measurement of the complete installed and commissioned GIS
+ Schedule tracking performed based on existing commissioning time schedules and regular reporting on commissioning activities
+ Clarification of all technical problems arising during the commissioning tests
+ As built documentation
+ Training of subordinate commissioning personnel
What You Bring
+ 2 years of technical experience with commissioning process engineering systems and partial discharge measurement techniques in Siemens AG projects
+ Experienced in intercultural situations
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
+ GIS knowledge pertaining to construction of electrical systems
+ Professional Training Course to perform commissioning work on SF6 gas insulated switchgear
+ Certificate for High voltage testing
