    Our Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a **Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Buyer Level 2 or 3)** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will support our Global Supply Chain team.

     

    This role will be located in **Moss Point, MS** with the potential for hybrid teleworking dependent on business need. Standard work schedule is a 9/80 with every other Friday off!

    Essential Functions:

    + Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers.

    + Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.

    + In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.

    + Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.

    + Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations.

    + Issues purchase orders.

    + Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.

    + Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.

    + Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.

    + Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.

    + Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

    _This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4 based on the qualifications outlined below._

    Basic Qualifications (Level 2):

    + Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of experience, a master’s degree with 1 year of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Experience should be in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, or another relevant field.

    + Experience with using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel

    + Ability to obtain and maintain at minimum a DoD Secret level clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    Basic Qualifications (Level 3):

    + Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience, a master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Experience should be in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, or another relevant field.

    + Experience with using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel

    + Ability to obtain and maintain at minimum a DoD Secret level clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree

    + Aerospace industry experience

    + Supply Chain or Procurement experience

    + FAR/DFAR or government contracts experience

    + Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems

    + Active DoD Security Clearance

     

    Salary Range: $58,000.00 - $87,000.00Salary Range 2: $71,600.00 - $107,400.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
