    Job Title: Cost Accountant/AnalystJob Description

    A global leader in life sciences is seeking a Cost Accountant/Analyst to join their team. This role is pivotal in providing timely and accurate financial insights to support data-driven decision-making and optimize spending across support functions. The cost accountant will deliver financial review and analytical support across designated business units or functional areas, playing a critical role in strategic planning.

    Responsibilities

    + Serve as the primary financial partner for operations, evaluating the cost impact of changes in manufacturing processes.

    + Collaborate with Supply Chain to analyze inventory variances and develop strategies to meet financial targets.

    + Support monthly financial reviews, including variance analysis and performance reporting.

    + Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic financial projections.

    + Provide financial support for daily operations and ad hoc business initiatives.

    + Maintain and enhance financial systems used for reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

    + Support the evaluation and management of capital expenditure projects.

    + Prepare ad hoc reports and perform special assignments as needed.

    + Financial statement preparation

    + Balance sheet management

    + Financial reporting

    + General ledger

    + Budgeting

    + Knowledge of CMA and GAAP

    + Inventory accounting

    + Audit and analysis

    + Standard cost reporting

    + Finance management

    + CPA certification

    + Journal entry management

    + Fixed asset accounting

    + Bank reconciliation

    + Accrual management

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)

    + 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting, including cost accounting

    + Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment

    + CMA is highly preferred

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

    + Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial modeling

    + High attention to detail and accuracy

    + Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

    Work Environment

    The position is based onsite in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, requiring attendance in the office Monday through Friday, with one work-from-home day available.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.00/hr.
