Job Description:

Actalent is seeking a Safety Engineer / Specialist to support construction projects in the field, working directly with trade crews and reporting to the Safety Manager. This role is critical in ensuring a safe work environment and promoting a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Implement and administer company accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.

+ Provide technical safety expertise and support to the branch.

+ Promote and enforce safe work practices and procedures.

+ Investigate work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents; ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.

+ Review accident and incident investigation reports.

+ Serve as the liaison between the company and client regarding site safety management.

+ Identify, correct, and mitigate routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.

+ Coach and counsel workers to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

+ Provide safety resources and guidance to workers.

+ Anticipate and evaluate potential safety and health hazards.

+ Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to assess compliance.

+ Establish safety goals for the branch and individual projects.

+ Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Skills & Experience:

+ 2–4 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in semiconductor environments.

+ OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 510 preferred.

+ OSHA 500 certification is a plus.

+ Associate’s degree preferred.

+ Strong collaboration and communication skills across all levels—craft, management, and client.

+ Experience with behavioral-based safety programs.

+ Knowledge of EHS compliance and construction safety standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.00/hr.
