    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting chemistry-based tests, complying with test methods according to set standards, and documenting all formulation processes. The role requires functioning with sustained supervision, writing simple reports outlining procedures used and results obtained, and completing necessary forms and documents. Attendance at quality, safety, and technical meetings and seminars is required, as well as adherence to all safety and security regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Comply with test methods according to set standards.

    + Document all formulation processes.

    + Function with sustained supervision and write simple reports outlining procedures used and results obtained.

    + Complete proper forms and documents when necessary.

    + Attend quality, safety, technical meetings and seminars as necessary.

    + Comply with all safety and security regulations and maintain a clean work area.

    + Communicate with internal as well as external customers.

    + Manage work in accordance with timeline goals.

    + Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times.

    + Perform chemistry-based testing.

    + Additional duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with viscosity, pH, wet chemistry, and paint testing.

    + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a science degree with paint lab experience.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

    + Capability to adhere to safety and security regulations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Candidates with associate degrees or no degree with previous lab experience will be considered.

    + Cannot be color blind.

    Work Environment

    The position is for a night shift opening from 6 AM TO 2:30PM, Monday to Friday. The work environment is a laboratory setting, which can be dusty or dirty at times. Lab coat, safety shoes, and protective eyewear will be provided. The role requires maintaining a clean work area and complying with all safety regulations.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
