Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will utilize Civil 3D to design grading and earthwork, erosion control, stormwater pollution prevention plans, stormwater systems, and pavement structures. You will prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for various aspects of site development projects, and assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and design review. Field inspections at project sites may be required.

Responsibilities

+ Utilize Civil 3D for grading, earthwork, erosion control, and stormwater design.

+ Prepare engineering analyses, designs, and calculations for site development projects.

+ Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and design review.

+ Conduct field inspections at project sites as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

+ 5+ years of site development-related experience.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Experience in land development and stormwater analysis and design.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Site development experience with state and local regulatory agencies.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to interact with the public and resolve contractor issues.

+ Experience with MicroStation is a plus.

+ Organized, self-motivated, and dependable with multitasking abilities.

Work Environment

The company offers a hybrid work model for local candidates in IL. Experienced staff may work two to three days remotely per week, or be fully remote if they live out of state. The office is located in Warrenville, IL, with another location in Champaign, IL. The organizational structure is flat with shareholder/principals leading market sectors and mentoring junior staff. The land development team consists of 8-9 individuals, and the company collaborates with 50 different municipalities. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
