Looking for a Reconstruction/Restoration Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Reconstruction/ Restoration Project Manager with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in aiding property recovery following disasters. This position involves delivering construction services, exceeding client expectations, and fostering positive referral relationships while upholding the company brand. A positive attitude, teamwork, and reliability are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

+ Manage project costs and adhere to predetermined budgets.

+ Oversee subcontractor relationships and ensure delivery of services.

+ Recruit and manage subcontractors.

+ Supervise in-house trade staff.

+ Ensure quality control and maintain work site safety.

+ Manage production schedules and timelines.

+ Contribute to operational sales and development of the company brand.

+ Collect project funds.

+ Manage material and resource providers/vendors.

+ Maintain customer and tenant relations.

+ Support ongoing training and development of team members.

Essential Skills

+ Project management and coordination skills with 2+ years of experience in managing repair projects within the insurance restoration industry.

+ Competency with MS Office suite.

+ Ability to lead and manage a team of 10-15 field technicians.

+ Financial literacy and experience managing budgets or project expenses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ IICRC Certifications in Water, Fire, and Mold restoration are preferred but not required.

+ Proficiency in prioritizing and delegating tasks.

+ Familiarity with Xactimate software.

+ Basic computer skills.

+ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

+ Excellent time management and customer service skills.

+ Effective teamwork capabilities.

Work Environment

The typical workday for a project manager is from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including time spent on-site for projects. Project managers oversee 10-15 technicians across various departments and typically manage one large project or several smaller ones simultaneously. Common restoration projects include water damage and reconstruction. The position requires proficiency in Dash and Exactimate software, along with key soft skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, customer service, and teamwork. Career advancement opportunities include moving into an operations manager role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

2 weeks of PTO for the first year, increasing to 120 hours per year at year 6 and 160 hours at year 116 paid holidays plus 1 floating holidayReimbursement for certifications obtained by employees, as long as the employee pays for it upfrontProject managers receive a 1.5% commission on the total revenue of jobs they close on a quarterly basisProject managers are eligible for an additional 0.5% commission if they act as both project consultant and managerProject managers can earn an additional 1-2% commission if they bring in new business
