Distribution Technician/Inspector – Raleigh & Asheville, NC

We are seeking motivated Distribution Technicians/Inspectors to support our Power Distribution Engineering team in the Raleigh and Asheville, NC markets. Candidates from nearby areas are welcome to apply. This role is part of our expanding Power Sector and involves inspection and data collection for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct visual inspections of distribution infrastructure and equipment.

+ Collect field data and prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports.

+ Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.

+ Collaborate with engineers and distribution designers to support project goals.

+ Apply standards from the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), industry best practices, and utility guidelines.

Travel

+ Primarily regional within the utility client’s territory.

+ Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications & Skills

RequirementDetails

EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent

Experience2+ years as a mechanical, electrical, or field technician; utility experience preferred

Technical KnowledgeNESC familiarity preferred, MS Office proficiency desirable

CommunicationStrong written and verbal skills across all levels

TravelValid driver’s license required; regional and occasional overnight travel

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
