Front End Platform Developer
Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Front End Processor Engineer with expertise in traditional infrastructure design to support our Linux-based Front End Processing (FEP) system. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and architecture of the system, collaborating with Program IPT Management and team members during Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to develop the environment from requirements. This role involves supporting the design, development, and implementation of traditional compute/network/storage systems for the FEP system, including familiarization with existing operating systems and server hardware designs.
Responsibilities
+ Leverage company and industry best practices to assist in the design, development, implementation, and support of the on-premises Front End Processor (FEP) solution.
+ Configure and implement Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) scripts to manage configuration and troubleshoot the FEP.
+ Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system.
+ Assist with the development of test and integration configurations, optimizing FEP performance.
+ Provide guidance on FEP resource allocation and utilization.
+ Assist engineers with tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices.
+ Configure and manage network connectivity for the FEP system.
+ Operate FEP hardware and software diagnostic tools.
+ Set up and configure FEP software simulator tools.
+ Support maintenance and test activities for factory and operational environments.
Essential Skills
+ U.S. citizenship and current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
+ 5+ years of related work experience.
+ Thorough background in on-premise RHEL-based infrastructure design.
+ Experience designing integrated systems including network, compute, and specialized FEP equipment.
+ Experience with common information system hardware interfaces.
+ Experience configuring and maintaining Common Cryptographic equipment in a secure environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with verification and hardening IT systems in compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
+ Extensive Linux CLI development experience.
+ Experience in network designs and implementation.
+ Experience with Agile development lifecycle and SAFe agile processes.
+ Broad experience with automated infrastructure testing of large systems.
+ Experience using and configuring hardware, such as setting up system network time protocol.
+ Experience with Cryptologic Equipment configuration and maintenance.
+ Experience in system troubleshooting in heterogeneous hardware environments.
+ Experience with systems and hardware testing.
+ Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
Work Environment
The position is located in Aurora, CO, with occasional travel (up to 10%) to customer sites for supporting deployed systems, configurations, and testing. The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The work will be performed in a secure setting, adhering to stringent security protocols.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
