Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter with expertise in AutoCAD and Rhino to join our dynamic design team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision and creativity, and who enjoys transforming concepts into detailed technical drawings and 3D models. You’ll play a key role in supporting architectural, engineering, and product design projects, ensuring deliverables meet both project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

+ Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Rhino

+ Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to interpret and visualize design concepts

+ Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications

+ Revise and refine designs based on stakeholder feedback

+ Prepare detailed documentation including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details

+ Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency

+ Assist in creating visual presentations and renderings using Rhino or related plugins

+ Maintain organized project files and documentation

+ Stay current with CAD software updates and design trends

Qualifications

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field

+ 2–3 years of professional experience as a CAD Drafter

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and Rhino (3D modeling and parametric design)

+ Familiarity with additional design software such as Revit, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

+ Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and GD&T

+ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

+ Effective communication and teamwork abilities

+ Strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment

+ Knowledge of construction processes, materials, or manufacturing techniques is preferred

Preferred Skills

+ Experience with Rhino plugins such as Grasshopper

+ Ability to produce photorealistic renderings using Rhino, V-Ray, Lumion, or similar software

+ Familiarity with BIM workflows

+ Basic understanding of engineering or architectural design principles

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
