    Linux Automation Systems Administrator Level 5

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Linux Automation Systems Administrator to build, maintain, and secure Information Technology systems. This role involves directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities using industry-standard automation tools. You will collaborate with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions to system problems. This position requires occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support.

    Responsibilities

    + Build, maintain, and secure IT systems using industry-standard automation tools.

    + Support customer mission-critical capabilities.

    + Collaborate with program developers and system engineers to research issues.

    + Determine root causes and implement solutions to system problems.

    + Provide occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support.

    + Assist with hardware installations, requiring the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

    + Travel occasionally for installation support.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

    + Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance.

    + U.S. citizenship.

    + Active cybersecurity certification qualified for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.

    + Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) based systems.

    + Proficiency in automation tools/frameworks such as Ansible.

    + Scripting skills, primarily in Bash and Python.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with deployment and administration in virtualized environments using VMware vCenter.

    + Experience managing network devices.

    + Experience administering Windows-based systems.

    + Experience with pipeline tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory.

    + Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems efficiently.

    Work Environment

    This position is onsite, requiring occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support. The role involves collaboration with program developers and system engineers, and may require occasional travel for installation support. The ability to lift up to 35 pounds is necessary for hardware installations.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
