About the job:

The Red Hat Enterprise Sales team is looking for an OpenShift Sales Specialist to join us. In this role, you will work with the Northeast Enterprise Sales team to enable customers to define, develop, and deploy their technology modernization strategies. You’ll build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders. As an OpenShift Sales Specialist, you will endorse our cloud platform solutions, including technologies like Red Hat OpenShift (built on Kubernetes), Red Hat Virtualization technologies, Red Hat AI Solutions and our modern application services, while leading customers on the path of cultural and technology transformation. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you’ll do:

+ Work with the Northeast Enterprise Sales team to plan the emerging technology strategy within a set of defined accounts

+ Consult with customers to understand their core business drivers and technical requirements

+ Present Red Hat’s technical solutions and manage emerging technology opportunity cycles with customers from qualification through to decision and procurement

+ Guide customers from their initial interest in agile transformation through to the adoption of Red Hat’s cloud platform technologies, which will provide the technology foundation for improvement

+ Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts to create long-term partnerships

+ Ensure that Red Hat’s OpenShift Platform solutions become the first choice for our strategic customers

What you’ll bring:

+ 8+ years of experience working in a solutions sales, solutions architecture, or agile transformation consulting role

+ 5+ years of experience focused on modern application delivery frameworks and platforms like Kubernetes and Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, Apache Kafka, MuleSoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, etc.

+ Background in consultative customer engagement with a consulting or technology company or organization

+ Technical experience with enterprise middleware and container technologies

+ Understanding of and experience with agile methodologies and organizational and IT transformation

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to executives at large companies

+ Ability to sell solutions in a multi-product environment

+ Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers

+ Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills

The salary range for this position is $291,510.00 - $481,100.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
