    Job Summary

    The Georgia Department of Education - Internal Technology Department is recruiting for an Instructional Technology Systems Administrator. Under limited supervision by Technology Services Knowledge Development Manager , the Instructional Technology Systems Administrato r demonstrates excellent technical, communication and presentation skills , provides training and consultative services to local school systems and educators on the exchange of knowledge on GaDOE applications ( Data and Learning a pplications: SuitCASE , Inspire, Georgia Learns, GaDOE Community, SLDS/My Georgia Insights and other applications) and maintains high-quality service and support to stakeholders . Duties include but are not limited to the following:

    Major responsibilities include :

    + Administer technical support and training on data applications to support access and permissions, troubleshooting, application development needs and stakeholder support

    + P rovide leadership and coordination in the development, administration, and exchange of training material and other technological resources available to support K -12 education

    + Develop and facilitate primarily digital/virtual profe ssional training to LEA and RESA personnel , limited travel may be required within Georgia

    + Support the development of data literacy , data privacy, and digital literacy skills

    + D evelop and facilitate a train-the-trainer model such as an ambassador program for educators an d school/district leaders to support the utilization of GaDOE applications

    + Serve as a GaDOE Community moderator for Technology Services

    + Identify and design digital content that supports knowledge exchange ( in a variety of formats: presentation , video , newsletter , webinar , and online course content) for Technology Services and/or in collaboration with other Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) divisions

    + Coordinate among GaDOE teams to support GaDOE’s Data Modernization project and My Georgia Insights to increase the role of data-informed decision making for education decision makers

    + C reate and maintain a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation; and collaborating with other GaDOE divisions to meet technology services goals

    + Demonstrate a strong commitment to knowledge management as evident through work products, processes and culture as well as demonstrating a strong commitment to professional growth by engaging in professional learning related to work responsibilities and duties; other duties as assigned.

    + Must reside in the state of Georgia

    Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:

    + Master's degree in education, education administration, instructional technology, business or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience delivering K-12 content

    + Experience working in a K - 12 setting

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skill s, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to stakeholders

    + Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to build relationships across teams and stakeholder groups

    + Familiarity with data literacy, digital citizenship, and data privacy best practices in K-12 education.

    + Experience in developing and conducting engaging, meaningful training and professional learning activities; presenting at local, state, or n ational level. Experience delivering virtual professional learning and developing asynchronous training content for educators.

    + Experience developing professional learning materials for online instruction. Strong skills in digital content creation, including presentations, videos, webinars, and online course modules

    + Demonstrate s knowledge of Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) applications such as SuitCASE , Inspire, Georgia Learns, GaDOE Community, and SLDS/My Georgia Insights

    + Experience successfully integrating technology within teaching and learning environment s for adult learners (Microsoft Teams , Canvas , SuitCASE , Inspire, GaDOE Community, etc.

    + Mastery in a wide range of computer application skills including v ideo editing, w ebinar production, and Microsoft Office suite

    + Experience designing and implementing train-the-trainer or ambassador-style professional development models

    + Experience moderating or managing online professional communities or knowledge-sharing platforms

    + Proactive and highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and drive initiatives forward

    + Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
