Position Summary:
The Manager, Wholesale Analytics and Category Insights is a detail-oriented and analytical associate, focusing on our wholesale channels. The position requires strong analytical skills, adept at managing large datasets, generating insightful reports, ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and support sales and forecasting efforts to drive business growth.
Position Responsibilities:
+ **Reporting:** Prepare detailed reports to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth. Collect, organize, and analyze large volumes of sales and inventory data. Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, inventory levels, POS, and forecast data. Present findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
+ **Data Analysis:** Conduct thorough analysis of sales data, market research, and customer feedback. Proactive analytics with recommendations for improvements. Utilize analytical tools, customer POS, and external data to identify market trends and growth opportunities. Providing recommendations to improve mix and profitability.
+ **Performance Monitoring:** Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess category performance. Implement corrective actions as needed to achieve targets. Create weekly / monthly executive summaries for internal & external use. Prepare projected monthly revenue forecast expectation for leadership review.
+ **Category Strategy Development:** Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making. Monitor competitive activity in all categories. Assist in the planning and development of customer growth strategies
+ **Product Assortment Optimization:** Complete market level analysis to identify trends and provide recommendations. Ensure the right products are available at the right time to meet customer needs and drive sales.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with sales team, channel marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to align category strategies with overall business objectives. Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals by supplying relevant data and analysis. Work with demand planning to develop demand outlook including replenishment flow.
Knowledge and Experience:
+ 5+ years of related experience is required.
+ Proven experience as a Category Manager or Analyst, preferably within the plumbing or home improvement industry.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
+ Financial analysis of pricing, retail margin and cost analysis.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and retail analytics tools; experience with SAP is a plus.
+ Excellent project management and organizational skills with a focus on delivering results.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
+ Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding performance goals.
+ Ability to travel 5-10%.
Education and Certification:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
