About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Field Service Manager to lead our field operations team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in HVAC controls, installation, and service management across commercial, educational, and healthcare environments. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for mentoring technicians.

Key Responsibilities

+ Oversee daily field operations including installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.

+ Supervise and mentor a team of skilled and apprentice-level technicians.

+ Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth execution of projects.

+ Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

+ Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.

+ Conduct quality assessments and troubleshoot system issues using tools like FLIR infrared cameras and IV curve tracing.

+ Maintain accurate documentation including RFIs, job costing, and shop drawings.

+ Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve escalated service issues.

Qualifications

+ 5+ years of experience in HVAC field service or controls installation.

+ Proven leadership experience in managing field teams.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and CAD/BIM drawings.

+ Familiarity with control systems such as Phoenix, Alerton, and Aircuity.

+ Strong understanding of VFDs, relays, and air handling systems.

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.

+ OSHA certification and valid driver’s license preferred.

Preferred Experience

+ Ground-up HVAC installations in large-scale facilities (e.g., universities, hospitals).

+ Experience with software fixes and commissioning for solar/HVAC hybrid systems.

+ Prior work with compliance-driven environments and electrical conduit installations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Los Angeles, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $104000.00/yr.
