    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will work independently and collaboratively with plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. You will troubleshoot and repair production equipment failures, assist in the installation of new equipment, and support techs and engineers to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. You will actively seek input from equipment users, process techs, and engineers to ensure existing equipment operates with no downtime and high efficiency. Additionally, you will proactively identify systemic problems and recommend cost-saving repairs to the maintenance team. In collaboration with engineering and process techs, you will assist in implementing large-scale projects, including designing basic components and programming electronic controls such as PLCs.

    Responsibilities

    + Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as stamping presses, take-ups, decoilers, and straighteners.

    + Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, etc., as required.

    + Perform preventative, predictive, and emergency work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.

    + Work closely with engineering and process techs to assist in implementing large-scale projects.

    + Design and fabricate basic components and program electronic controls including PLCs.

    + Communicate and recommend repairs to the maintenance team.

    Essential Skills

    + Electrical and controls expertise.

    + Experience in pneumatics, repair, troubleshooting, mechanical tasks, and preventive maintenance.

    + Knowledge of plumbing and service.

    + Proficiency in reading schematics and PLC troubleshooting.

    + Ability to perform PLC control tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum: 2-year degree in a technical field and 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, or 4+ years of industrial maintenance.

    + 1+ year of experience with AC/DC principles.

    + 1+ year using precision measuring equipment such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.

    + Ability to use a multi-meter for electrical troubleshooting.

    + Candidates from Schneider Electric with cross-training like Molex are a good fit.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an extremely clean, bright, heated, and air-conditioned environment with humidity control. The facility is comfortable, especially as you work with plastics and electronics. The large equipment provides ample space to perform tasks safely. Team size comprises 40 members across shifts, with openings on the 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) and the 3rd shift (10:30pm-7am). There is flexibility for shift timing. Dress code requires steel-toe boots, jeans, a plain t-shirt, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.25/hr.
