    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join our team in various shifts, responsible for packaging and processing operations. You will play a crucial role in chocolate manufacturing and technical operations, ensuring the performance and quality of packaging equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.

    + Perform packaging and processing operations efficiently.

    + Maintain clear, open, and positive communication with Supervisors and Lead Persons overseeing Production Workers.

    + Adhere to established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to assure product quality.

    + Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.

    + Ensure cleanliness of work area and machinery, performing specified cleaning at the end of product runs and shifts, while overseeing Production Workers' sanitation duties.

    + Suggest improvements to management regarding efficiency, safety, and working conditions.

    + Conduct hourly checks such as metal detector, package verification, and weight checks as assigned.

    + Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as requested.

    + Maintain flexibility to perform any other duties as required, including roles as a Production Worker.

    Essential Skills

    + Fundamental knowledge to read work-related material and follow directions.

    + 1 to 4 years of applicable experience in mechanical components and/or electronic controls of equipment.

    + Understanding of chocolate composition and function and/or troubleshooting.

    + Positive and effective verbal/written communication skills.

    + Teamwork skills, supporting co-workers and company policies.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Production/Manufacturing experience preferred.

    + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.

    + Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility is very clean and well-maintained, ensuring comfort with safety measures in place. You'll be equipped with PPE, including ear plugs, safety-toed shoes, and hair/beard nets. Although not climate-controlled, the environment is comfortable, handling products like Hershey's bars and pretzels.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $47840.00/yr.
