Job Title: Environmental Technician

Job Description

As an Environmental Technician, you will work around the landfill, performing essential laborer duties such as moving materials, checking and changing pumps, digging, inspecting, and utilizing basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

+ Perform laborer duties around the landfill.

+ Move materials and ensure they are properly handled.

+ Check, maintain, and change pumps as required.

+ Conduct inspections to ensure compliance and safety.

+ Utilize basic hand tools for various tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of general laborer experience.

+ 2+ years of experience using hand tools.

+ Experience in construction, heavy equipment operation, farming, landfill, or waste removal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working outside in various weather conditions.

+ Background in construction, farming, or manual labor.

+ Willingness to perform laborer duties effectively.

Why Work Here?

Employees receive 20 hours of PTO to use per quarter, starting the quarter after they are hired. Holiday pay is offered for major holidays, and raises are provided based on performance. There is also an opportunity to travel to other sites and receive per diem.

Work Environment

Work is conducted at the landfill, which is a dirty environment with odors. The role requires working outdoors 100% of the time. Employees will work Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, with the schedule rotating every two months. Occasionally, weekend work is required, and overtime is available, with contractors working anywhere from 40-60 hours per week. Attendance and work ethic are evaluated from day one.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
