Job Title: Production Line Associate (1st Shift)
Job Description
The Production Line Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of the production line to achieve company goals related to production, budget, quality, safety, and waste management. Working under the general supervision of the Production Manager, the associate must maintain awareness of their surroundings while working steadily on a continuously moving production line. The position requires multitasking and adaptability to various work assignments. Teamwork is essential to meet production standards while minimizing waste, rework, and downtime.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible for line set-up, product changeovers, package size changes, and adjustments on line equipment.
+ Operate processing, filling, and packaging production line equipment.
+ Perform quality inspections of products and packs, including visual checks of raw materials, caps, labels, date codes, weights, packaging, and seals.
+ Monitor work activities of line team to ensure effective operation of the production line to meet production needs and quality standards.
+ Practice waste control and help minimize downtime.
+ Process required inventory control transactions using SAP and accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
+ Perform allergen clean-up and daily housekeeping duties in the work area.
+ Assist in training employees on the operation of line equipment and company processes.
+ Help and develop others around you, demonstrating dependability and care in your work.

+ Experience in industrial or production environments.
+ Ability to remain attentive to machinery for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in warehouse production, loading, and packing.
+ Troubleshooting skills.
+ Familiarity with machine operation and general labor tasks.

Work Environment
The work environment is clean and air-conditioned, with a pleasant aroma of seasonings. Employees must be comfortable wearing PPE as per food manufacturing safety standards. The position requires standing for long hours during 12-hour shifts. Shift options include: 1st shift (6:30am-3pm), 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm), and 3rd shift (10:30pm-7am), all including breaks and lunch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gretna, Louisiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
