Job Description:
60% Teaching
+ Includes clinical audiological instruction each fall, spring, and summer for undergraduate and graduate students
+ Advising and mentoring students in coursework as an academic advisor and a member of AuD research project committees, when appropriate. Includes development and review of Comprehensive Examination questions related to coursework and expertise for the year one and year two examinations.
+ University teaching is at least one course per year
20% Service
+ Participate in service to the Department, College, University; service to the profession through participation and/or leadership on state and national committees
10% Scholarly Work
+ Engage in professional scholarship such as presenting at state and national conferences; publishing articles and chapters; grant reviews or grant submissions
10% Professional Performance
+ Engage in direct assessment and treatment services of communication disorders, specifically within the domain of hearing health. These services include audiologic diagnostic evaluation, and (re)habilitative treatment of auditory disorders including hearing aid fitting and maintenance, aural rehabilitation, and preventative hearing conservation.

Required Qualifications:

1. Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD)
2. At least 3 years of experience providing clinical audiological services
3. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or ability to obtain or reactivate CCC-A.
4. Eligibility for state of Kansas licensure in audiology and license to Fit and Dispense Hearing Instruments.

Position Overview:
The University of Kansas, Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic invites applications for a full-time 12-month non-tenure track faculty position as Clinical Assistant Professor in Audiology beginning as early as January 1, 2026. All and intersecting areas of expertise into basic and applied aspects of communication sciences and disorders will be considered, including but not limited to audiologic assessment, pediatric and adult hearing care, aural habilitation/rehabilitation, and hearing assistive technology (HAT). The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing ( http://splh.ku.edu/ ) expects its faculty to contribute to the mission and goals of the Department and School in the areas of teaching, scholarship, service and practice.
