Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

The candidate will engage in production construction work, primarily focused on building modular trailers from scratch. This role involves repetitive installations as the trailers are uniformly 8 feet. Candidates should be adept at using basic hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. Training will be provided on assembly and building techniques, after which candidates are expected to work independently.

Responsibilities

+ Participate in production construction tasks.

+ Build modular trailers from scratch.

+ Perform repetitive installations of trailers.

+ Utilize basic hand and power tools efficiently.

+ Work independently after completing training.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

+ Basic carpentry skills.

+ Understanding of construction and framing processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Electrical experience is a plus.

+ BC Cabling knowledge.

+ Blueprint reading skills.

+ OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a large construction yard, featuring warehouse buildings with 20ft garages to maneuver trailers under a roof during work. Employees will work both inside and outside, with the warehouse doors adapting to weather conditions. The schedule is set from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, offering a dynamic work setting that adjusts with seasonal changes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
