    Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will proactively identify potential problems or opportunities, analyze issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities. You will utilize computerized maintenance management systems, building automation systems, and manage subcontractors or vendors effectively. This position requires a hands-on approach to completing various general maintenance tasks including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting, while overseeing a small crew of employees.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise and lead a team of technicians, including appliance, HVAC, electrical, and general maintenance technicians.

    + Perform general maintenance tasks such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting.

    + Utilize computerized maintenance management systems and building automation systems to identify and resolve issues.

    + Manage subcontractors and vendors efficiently.

    + Ensure a clean and professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in HVAC, maintenance, and supervising.

    + Ability to oversee a team of technicians and articulate general building maintenance knowledge.

    + Experience with Siemens/Johnson Controls systems for preventive maintenance.

    + Troubleshooting and repair skills in drywall, floor maintenance, and plumbing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 4+ years of lead or supervising commercial building maintenance experience.

    + Knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, light electrical maintenance, and repairs.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

    + Effective communication skills for speaking before groups and writing routine reports.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is primarily an office setting with interaction around office occupants. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and professional appearance with casual dress requirements. Shifts are Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential. Additionally, a hotel/conference center is located onsite.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
