    **Job Type:** Contract to Hire

    **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious **General Laborer** to join our Environmental Impact team. This role is responsible for maintaining clean and orderly conditions across operational areas, including buildings, walkways, and fence lines. The position supports facility upkeep through tasks such as sweeping, painting, debris removal, and power washing, while adhering to strict Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Sweep walkways, power wash surfaces, and remove debris from the facility.

    + Empty trash bins and paint buildings, handrails, and safety barriers.

    + Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in general facility areas.

    + Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.

    + Support facility presentation and customer-friendly standards.

    + Notify management of major repair needs or system additions.

    + Requisition supplies and equipment for maintenance tasks.

    + Learn and safely operate forklifts and personal lifts.

    + Assist with related duties and special projects as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

    + Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in dirty environments.

    + Strong attendance and ability to work independently.

    + Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols.

    + Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.

    + Willingness to learn and operate forklifts and personal lifts.

    + Attention to detail and situational awareness in a dynamic environment.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a scrap yard and industrial facility, with exposure to weather conditions, noise, fumes, and dust. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, and face shields is required. The position involves handling multiple safety and maintenance tasks, especially during peak operational periods.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.79 - $23.79/hr.
