    Job Title: Picker and Packer

    Job Description

    Join a leading distributor and warehouse of winter gear, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries to major clients. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading trucks, working from pick lists, packing products, and loading USPS, UPS, and FEDEX trucks. This position requires physical activity, including lifting up to 40 pounds and walking throughout the day.

    Responsibilities

    + Unload trucks by hand in the morning.

    + Work off pick lists to gather items.

    + Pack products efficiently and securely.

    + Load USPS, UPS, and FEDEX trucks in the evening.

    + Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours a day.

    + Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

    + Comfortable using computers.

    + Minimum of 6 months of warehouse experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with warehouse inventory and packing.

    + Proficiency in taping boxes.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a bustling warehouse setting with a team of 8-12 people. While there is no air conditioning, doors remain open and fans are strategically placed to maintain airflow. With the fall season approaching, the temperature naturally cools down. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a 40-hour workweek and no overtime. The dress code is casual, allowing shorts, but closed-toe shoes are required. This is a one-month assignment with the possibility of extension.

    This is a Contract position based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
