Aerotek is hiring a Machine Operator

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and stage materials for production.

+ Set up machines and adjust HMI settings as needed.

+ Operate machinery and perform minor preventative maintenance.

+ Maintain and monitor two production lines.

+ Perform tooling changes and reassemble using basic hand tools.

+ Load materials into machines and monitor product flow.

+ Manually move up to 50 lbs and roll 700-1200 lbs wheels.

+ Operate forklifts and electric hand trucks.

+ Examine extruded products for defects and provide samples for lab testing.

+ Perform basic testing using calipers and gauges.

+ Modify product settings through HMI to ensure quality.

+ Handle packaging, shipping, and receiving operations.

+ Operate packaging equipment and assist as needed.

+ Collect production area data and ensure proper tool usage.

+ Bend, stoop, and lift products and tools as required.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience in machine operations with mechanical aptitude.

+ Strong attention to detail for monitoring quality.

+ Knowledge of HMI production machinery.

+ Forklift operation (stand up and sit down) capability.

+ Ability to wear required safety equipment and follow safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to multitask.

+ Experience with injection molding and extrusion.

+ Ability to climb ladders and stairs.

+ Good eye-to-hand coordination.

+ Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.

Work Environment

Our facility operates on two shifts: 2nd shift from 2:45 pm to 11:00 pm and 3rd shift from 10:45 pm to 7:00 am, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime on weekends. Training occurs on the day shift for the first few weeks. The environment includes non-temperature controlled areas that can be hot in summer. Dress code requires the removal of jewelry, steel-toed shoes, long pants, and hearing and eye protection. Some areas may require N95 masks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
