Packaging Operator: PAYING UP TO $23 AN HOUR

Job Description

As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for operating packaging machinery, performing quality checks, and documenting production activities. You will own the entire production line assigned to you and work in an environment with varying temperatures. Training will be provided through shadowing a tenured machine operator and operating pallet jacks and machinery.

Responsibilities

+ Operate the packaging machine efficiently.

+ Conduct quality checks on boxes and packaging.

+ Maintain cleanliness in designated areas and adhere to GMP standards.

+ Adjust boxes of different types and sizes for packaging.

+ Document productivity and order completion accurately.

Essential Skills

+ At least one year of machine operating experience.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs periodically.

+ Basic troubleshooting skills.

+ Familiarity with GMPs and HACCP standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.

+ Previous experience in production or warehouse settings, including operating machinery like case packers, wrapping machines, and sealing machines.

Work Environment

Work within a food production facility that requires time management and the ability to work in warm areas up to 120 degrees. Expect louder than average noise levels due to machinery. Steel-toe shoes are required. The schedule includes rotating days off with two consecutive days off and opportunities for overtime. Shifts include 1st shift (5:30 AM-2:00 PM), 2nd shift (1:30 PM-10:00 PM), and 3rd shift (9:30 PM-6:00 AM).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
