    Production Worker

    Job Description

    Operate various pieces of equipment to fabricate glass to customer specifications, including cutting tables, polishers, water jets, workstations, and overhead cranes. Responsibilities also include unloading, crating, and loading processes of incoming materials and finished products by hand or using overhead cranes. Additionally, operate CNC machines and other equipment as required.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate cutting tables, polishers, water jets, workstations, and overhead cranes.

    + Unload, crate, and load materials and products by hand or using overhead cranes.

    + Perform machine operating tasks, including CNC operation.

    + Use hands and fingers to grasp, pull, and manipulate items and equipment.

    + Reach, bend, and squat throughout the shift.

    + Stand for long periods during the shift.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production and equipment operation.

    + Proficiency in using a tape measure.

    + Ability to read English.

    + Capability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs to 100 lbs occasionally.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with overhead cranes is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is situated in a production/manufacturing environment with hours from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime and occasional Saturdays. A 30-minute unpaid lunch is provided. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and protective sleeves, with PPE provided except for steel-toe boots, which are supplied once a year after permanent hiring. The environment can be hot in summer and cold in winter. Employees use their time clocks for timekeeping.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, Maryland.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
