We are currently seeking to hire a System Administrator to support our projects. As a key member of our team, this role will be responsible for assisting in providing effective and efficient administration of Java Base Web Applications. Duties include internal and external user management, incident response, org security, data integrity, data migration, change and release management, reporting, production support, and other duties. The candidate should demonstrate experience in similar roles maintaining seamless access to hundreds or thousands of standard and community users across multiple applications. The candidate must have a proven record of positive collaboration with others, especially stakeholders, developers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and project managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ System and Application Management:
+ Installation, configuration, and maintenance of software, hardware, and networks, with a focus on systems built using Java and .NET frameworks.
+ Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and resolving outages, ensuring the smooth operation of Java and .NET applications and their underlying infrastructure.
+ Performing regular backups and implementing disaster recovery procedures, particularly for data related to Java and .NET applications.
+ Administering user accounts and access permissions across systems, including those that support Java and .NET applications.
+ Security and Optimization:
+ Implementing and managing security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect the IT infrastructure and data, especially focusing on vulnerabilities relevant to Java and .NET systems.
+ Analyzing and optimizing system performance, including identifying and addressing bottlenecks in Java and .NET applications.
+ Staying up-to-date on security best practices and emerging technologies relevant to Java and .NET development and deployment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
+ 3+ years of System Administration for Java based web applications.
+ US Citizenship is required (required by the federal government for this position).
+ Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
+ MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 3+ years of IT and/or business design related experience
+ 5+ years of System Administration for Java based web applications.
+ 2+ years working with GitHub and or other DevOps Tools
+ Strong communication, analytical and time management skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
+ Experience working with Agile and in sprints
+ Experience working with source code repositories (Gitlab/GitHub/Bitbucket) and automation tool (Jenkins/Bamboo/GitLab)

**Pay Range** - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$89,203.00 - $151,646.00
