E-VAC Magnetics just opened the doors to it's brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, in Sumter, South Carolina, and we’re looking for a seasoned IT professional to help lead the charge! E-VAC Magnetics is a leading manufacturer of rare-earth permanent magnets, specializing in neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets. These magnets are critical components in automotive, defense, industrial, and renewable energy applications. This role, the IT Lead, will be a key member of the global IT team, responsible for supporting IT infrastructure and applications at our South Carolina manufacturing facility. Day-to-day tasks with involve overseeing local IT operations, ensuring alignment with global IT standards, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance digital transformation within manufacturing. The IT Lead will serve as the primary liaison between the local site and global IT leadership, ensuring high system reliability, security, and operational efficiency. This candidate will be in the IT lead role for a year to year and a half before being promoted to the IT manager of the plant. For the 1st year, the manager will be from Germany to teach the lead how e-VAC runs their IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily IT operations, including hardware, software, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity, ensuring seamless functionality in a manufacturing environment.

- Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

- Support digital transformation initiatives, including Industry 4.0 and manufacturing digitalization projects.

- Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure and application teams to enhance business processes and operational efficiencies.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve IT-related issues

- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data, trade secrets, and customer information.

- Monitor and analyze IT performance, proactively recommending improvements.

- Provide end-user training and technical support as needed.

- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and conduct regular audits to uphold data integrity.

Need to have: SAP and MES experience.

Preferred: Experience managing a IT budget of around $5-$15 million

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks.

- Hands-on expertise in networking, cybersecurity, server management, and enterprise applications.

- Proven ability to drive IT improvements and digital transformation within a manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $123000.00/yr.
