Job Title: Senior User Experience Design Specialist

Purpose and Objective:
Concur Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior User Experience Design Specialist at our Bellevue, WA location to work in a dedicated project team and support other UIDs or UXAs in this project area.
Expectations and Tasks:
Provide product usability, and evaluation and support to product development teams in projects, including the analysis and investigation of applications or systems of high complexity. Responsible for UI delivery outcomes of assigned projects and sub projects. Work independently within a broad area of responsibility by following the defined policies and processes and contribute to milestones. Plan and schedule field research activities. Assess usability problems caused by implementation errors or IT customization and integration across SAP products and with external products often in conjunction with consulting domain experts. Plan and schedule usability studies that can test UI standard building blocks and pattern concepts independent of specific product domains. Accurately collect and record formative data without introducing experimental observer bias. Use design UX Tools to solve complex UI issues. Explain all UX UCD processes and tools to others, and coach them, including reviewing and editing test scripts, use cases, and UI validation documents. Lead interactive customer product demo and discussion. Engage in an active dialog with customer at the task level to elicit user requirements on both the usability and functional scope. Transfer use case definitions into complete UI designs for products of high complexity or that require free style UI's. Create UI proposals where the interaction model must be unique for the data being presented. Create very high-fidelity prototypes of sufficient completeness which can be used for usability testing with formative testing methods. Create animations for communication of specific interaction details. Create product line specific guidelines. Develop proposals for UI patterns and building blocks to solve detailed interaction problems capable of becoming a SAP UI Guideline. Specify UI models for new UI behavior like auto layout. Propose technical solutions to discontinuities caused by integrating multiple older UI technologies. Support the identification of actions, objects, status information and UI properties like Icons.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technologies, User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technologies, User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve four (4) years in the following:
+ Conducting UX research and analysis to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, or pain points;
+ Creating key product artifacts, including user personas, workflows, journey maps, and storyboards, to accurately represent target user profiles and guide development;
+ Designing enterprise-scale B2B (business-to-business) software experiences to solve complex business challenges and enhance user experiences;
+ Designing comprehensive mobile applications (iOS and Android native) in compliance with Apple HIG (Human Interface Guidelines) and Google Material Design principles;
+ Utilizing Xcode and Android Studio to evaluate in-progress mobile builds to ensure design fidelity, functionality, and content accuracy;
+ Generating product guides and propose UI patterns to ensure consistency and coherence across products and platforms;
+ Designing interfaces that comply with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and are optimized for assistive technologies, including screen readers and adaptive keyboards;
+ Performing accessibility testing using JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver to ensure inclusivity and usability;
+ Applying principles of typography, color theory, and layout to produce visually appealing and user-friendly designs across both web and mobile platforms; and
+ Axure, Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Cloud (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, and Dreamweaver).

**Compensation Range Transparency:** The annual base salary range for this position is $175,656 - $243,584. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $175,656 - $276,800. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
