We’re not just building better tech. We’re rewriting how data moves and what the world can do with it. With Confluent, data doesn’t sit still. Our platform puts information in motion, streaming in near real-time so companies can react faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences as dynamic as the world around them.
It takes a certain kind of person to join this team. Those who ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and show up for each other. No egos, no solo acts. Just smart, curious humans pushing toward something bigger, together.
One Confluent. One Team. One Data Streaming Platform.
About the Role:
Confluent is looking for a functional Project Manager to act as a force-multiplier focused on increasing execution efficiency. Reporting to the Manager, People Strategy, Programs & Enablement, you’ll serve as a centralized resource and partner closely with all of our People functions and other cross-functional stakeholders.
In this role you will provide support on projects and work streams focused on the People orgs transformation, operational excellence and strategic improvements. As a ‘go-to’ person, you will be instrumental in guiding the seamless transition from big picture to details while navigating tight timelines. You will facilitate cohesive collaboration within and across organizations by providing operational discipline, identifying and mitigating dependencies and risks, and forging strong relationships through effective communication.
What You Will Do:
+ Support planning processes by leading conversations with key stakeholders to develop concepts into defined deliverables and ensure execution reliability.
+ Continuously improve and scale the People organization by sharing project frameworks, tools, and best practices that can be easily adopted to increase delivery efficiency.
+ Lead and manage cross-team, cross-functional initiatives from inception through deployment including defining scope and execution milestones.
+ Proactively evaluate and resolve obstacles and balance competing priorities through fluid communication with project stakeholders.
+ Engage and energize project teams to achieve aggressive goals.
+ Leverage general knowledge to conduct simple analyses and establish performance metrics.
+ Solicit and evaluate feedback to determine appropriate actions, solutions and initiatives needed.
+ Create and deliver clear and detailed documentation and presentations for complex projects.
What You Will Bring:
+ Proficient project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities without losing sight of the most important initiatives.
+ 3+ years of practical working knowledge and experience in human resources with at least one full deployment project leveraging key HR systems (e.g. HCM/HRIS, LMS, ATS, etc.).
+ Demonstrable experience in analyzing business needs and aligning them to project execution and KPIs.
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to influentially drive alignment among stakeholders while ensuring execution accountability across teams.
+ Deductive problem solving for moderate to highly complex problems; some limited data analysis may be required.
+ Proven ability to clearly document and articulate goals, requirements, timelines, resources and risk within and across cross-functional teams
What Gives You an Edge:
+ Experience with Workday
+ Exposure to Tableau
+ PMP certification(s)
+ Experience working in high growth public company setting
