At GE Appliances, we power homes and transform lives with our innovative Air & Water products. We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Director of Builder Business Development and Strategy to lead the growth of our HVAC and water heating solutions across the builder segment.
This role partners closely with sales leadership, National Account Managers (NAMs), and Area Sales Managers (ASMs) across the Air & Water and Contract channels. The ideal candidate brings a strong vision for customer success, excels at influencing across teams, and has a background in the commercial HVAC space, particularly VRF systems. You’ll play a central role in driving new business opportunities, onboarding customers, and creating impactful programs that expand our presence in the builder community.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Key Responsibilities:
+ Set a clear strategic vision to grow our plumbing and HVAC portfolio with new and existing builder customers.
+ Lead cross-functional and cross-channel collaboration to unlock new revenue streams for the Air & Water business.
+ Design and roll out customer-specific programs to drive profitable growth.
+ Deliver high-impact product presentations and develop training programs that reinforce the value of GE Appliances’ Air & Water offerings.
+ Analyze key financial and performance metrics to guide decisions and align with business targets.
+ Utilize data and sales tools to inform strategic actions.
+ Build and maintain credibility with customers and resolve concerns promptly.
+ Execute all product-specific sales initiatives.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications
+ 10 years sales experience.
+ 5 years of industry specific experience with either plumbing and HVAC products or builder customers.
+ Results-driven and resilient, with the determination to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
+ Previous experience creating and executing complex customer programs.
+ Previous success working across multiple teams in a matrixed organization.
+ Successful track record as a team player, working in a highly collaborative manner.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
+ Background in builder-focused sales channels.
+ Experience developing and executing customer programs and territory growth strategies through multiple channels to market.
+ Experience building lasting relationships with customers and internal stakeholders built on credibility and trust.
+ Effective communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
_This role is remote, preferably located in Louisville, KY or any major metro area in the US by a major airport, with 40-50% travel._
