Job Details:

Summary:

We are recruiting a Neuroscience PA who will primarily support the management of our adult neurology patients, particularly our epilepsy and neuro-oncology patients. The PA will be an integral member of our care team and will partner with experienced physicians, nurses, and GME house-staff in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery to enhance the care management of our diverse population.

Responsibilities:

+ Perform medical evaluations, follow-up visits, and consultations for diverse care management of adult epilepsy and neuro-oncology patients

+ Manage medications and follow through on diagnostic testing

+ Evaluate patients both in a shared capacity with an MD, as well as autonomously in the outpatient setting, both in person and via telehealth.

+ Gain a working competency of neurology procedures including lumbar punctures and programming of neuromodulatory devices

Shift/Status:

Full Time, Day Shift

Qualifications / Requirements:

+ Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant

+ NYS PA License eligible

+ Ideal candidates will have neurology experience; however, motivated applicants with a subspecialty interest are encouraged to apply.

+ Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

+ Bilingual abilities are a plus
