Summary You will serve as a System/Network Administrator for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in the Command Information Office (CIO) of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Responsibilities You will perform a variety of functions on a wide range of issues, provide advice and recommendations of system administration. You will install new or modified hardware, operating systems and applications software. You will manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment. You will manage the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates and enhancements. You will ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Maintain network operation and maintenance concepts to establish connectivity between remote sites; 2) Develop and implement configuration management plans for complex Local Area Network (LAN)s and Wide Area Network (WAN)s to identify and resolve network issues; 3) Analyze network architecture trends to improve network access control; and 4) Configure hubs, switches and routers for reliable performance.
