Position Summary:

Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Moderate/Severe Special Education Teacher to support students within the Pasadena Unified School District . Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities in grades K–12. This role requires a collaborative spirit, a commitment to inclusive education, and a passion for helping every student reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.

+ Provide direct instruction, behavioral support, and life skills training in a variety of settings.

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success.

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

+ Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional learning communities.

+ Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

+ Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (Master’s preferred).

+ Valid Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential (or equivalent).

+ Experience: Minimum of one year in a teaching environment preferred.
