    The Center for Technology in Education (CTE) implements a wide range of technical assistance and professional development initiatives that support selected international, federal, state, and local education and leadership projects. We are seeking a **_School Principal Coach._** The primary function of the School Principal Coach is to assist in the 1) implementation of systems change initiatives in Capital School District in Dover, Delaware; and 2) training and coaching of principals at selected target schools to advance practices in specially designed instruction, IEP development, IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and data driven decision making.

     

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    _Planning and Consultation - (20%)_

    + Review relevant district and school information including current policies and procedures, related resources regarding evidence-based instructional practices, building-specific School Support Plans (SSPs) for the upcoming year and use this information to inform coaching strategies.

    _Development and Coaching - (40%)_

    + Provide a combination of face-to-face and online coaching sessions to school principals and/or members of their leadership team to reinforce strategies and address barriers related to IEP development, IEP implementation, the progress monitoring of students with disabilities, and instruct administrators on the proper usage of staff allocation to achieve these aims.

    _Implementation - (30%)_

    + Participate in school-based instructional walkthroughs to observe focus areas which relate to coaching and attend monthly online Grant Implementation Team (GIT) meetings with members of the project team.

    + Provide guidance and feedback to the GIT, including baseline data on IEP development, IEP implementation fidelity, and student progress monitoring.

    _Project Management - (10%)_

    + Consult weekly with members of the CTE project team to ensure consistency and effective implementation across grant deliverables over the course of the school year.

    Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Experience as a school administrator responsible for implementing special education programming.

    + Experience with implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).

    + Ability to facilitate virtual meetings using online technologies, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

    + Experience with development, implementation, and progress monitoring of IEPs.

    + Experience designing professional learning for adults, including coaching and professional development workshops.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Master's Degree.

    + Two years of experience.

    + Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Master's Degree in Education or a closely related field.

    + Progressive years of experience in school building administration and special education leadership.

    + Graduate Degree or certificate in school leadership.

    + Special education teaching certification.

    Starting Salary Range: $28.61 - $50.05 HRLY (Commensurate w/exp.)
