We are seeking a talented and motivated entry-level Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This individual will be part of a team that is working on the backend logic of the Pega Blueprint SaaS offering. This is a high visibility individual contributor (IC) role that demands a solid technical foundation and a proactive attitude, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment.
What You'll Do at Pega:
+ You will act as a team member developing the Pega Blueprint SaaS application
+ Frequently deploy changes to production to ensure product is up to date
+ Continuously help and support our product team while operating the Pega Blueprint production service
+ Quickly adapt to changing priorities based on customer feedback, thinking on your feet to solve complex problems and speed bumps in the products lifecycle
Who You Are:
You are a graduating student well-versed in Java with a penchant for data science and data analytics. You have theoretical and project experience applying these principles; and are looking to apply this knowledge to solve complex and challenging real-world problems – e.g. How does a company with 10 million customers project in real-time the reach for a new product they are about to launch?
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (Master’s degree preferred)
+ Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles
+ Java development experience via projects, internships, class work, etc.
+ Course or project experience in data science and data analytics
+ Agile development methodology experience/knowledge
+ Ability to learn new skills quickly and apply them to solving challenging problems
What You've Accomplished:
+ Experience using React recommended
+ Experience with prompt engineering highly encouraged
+ Experience with Java is ideal
+ Primarily will work in rules development (App development on Pega Infinity)
+ Pega CSA or CSSA is a big plus and will be required
