Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SURFACE LAUNCH MISSILE DIVISION, SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Seal Beach, CA detachment. Responsibilities You will provide logistical support to the Fleet, contributing to the smooth flow of ordnance and related materials. You will participate in various facets of supply operations, including receipt, issue, storage, segregation and inventory management. You will utilize the Ordnance Information System (OIS) for basic data entry, retrieval and report generation. You will review requisitions for accuracy, verifying basic material availability using the OIS. You will support space control and inventory management activities to include that layout and organization of warehouses, sheds and magazines. You will demonstrate a commitment to data integrity, identifying and flagging discrepancies and adhering to established coding conventions and documentation standards within the OIS. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the NT-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing an Ordnance Information System (OIS) to perform Fleet logistical support tasks to include data entry, material verification and report generation for the movement of ordnance materials. For the NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-05 through GS-08 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing a logistics management information system or database to perform data entry, material verification and report generation to provide logistical support to the Fleet. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: FOR NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalent): - successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree. The percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. OR - successfully completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-09 and GS-10. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-11 and GS-12. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
