Job Description
The Storekeeper I, under supervision, provides supply and logistics support for the Corps of Cadets, including issuing supplies, materials; maintaining accurate inventory and clerical records for uniforms, materials, and durable items; operating the Corps Store; performing duties as a bus driver when needed; and supporting additional tasks as directed.
This is an in-office position located on Tarleton’s main campus in Stephenville, Texas with regular work hours of Monday to Friday; from 8am to 5pm or as work requirements indicate.
Responsibilities:
60% Inventory & Facilities Operations
+ Receives, unpacks, marks, and stores equipment, goods, and supplies.
+ Issues supplies and materials to Corp of Cadets.
+ Tracks accurate inventory of materials and supplies on a computer-based inventory system.
+ Monitors storeroom stock levels and initiates reorder as necessary.
+ Takes phone and walk-in orders and pulls items from inventory to fill orders. Provides price and delivery quotes.
+ Maintains and manages the Corps Store.
+ Maintains cleanliness of Corps Store, warehouse, and surrounding areas.
30% Transportation
+ Performs duties as a Corps Bus/Van driver.
10% Cadet Support
+ Assists with Cadet Training Duties as required.
Education and Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ One year of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of purchase order, invoice, payable, and receiving procedures. Knowledge of inventory systems.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
+ Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system.
Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:
+ Maintain Class C driving license. Class B license preferred.
Other Requirements:
+ Ability to lift heavy objects. Work in hot and/or cold warehouse conditions without climate control.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: Commensurate with experience
Pay Range:
The target base hourly pay range is $17.49 to $19.24 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
