Signio Specialty Pharmacy is the NJ division of Polaris Specialty Pharmacy. Our multi state licensed Specialty Pharmacy is located in Rockaway, NJ and operates as a CLOSED DOOR pharmacy, serving patients with complex disease states; dispensing nationwide via mail and courier service. Our hours are 10am-6pm EST and we are closed on the weekends and closed on major holidays.

This is for an entry level position as CONCIERGE/ SCHEDULER

Brief description role:

The Concierge/scheduler will be primary staff member triaging calls and acting as representative liaison between

+ The pharmacy and the prescribers’ office

+ The pharmacy and the patient

Roles and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of pharmacist, manager, and/or supervisor

• Act as a contact point for prescribers: Call prescriber offices for patient info, to obtain patient clinical notes and any other information pertaining to patient care

• Work with prescribers to provide any needed information/documentation for approval

• Triage calls coming into the pharmacy to appropriate staff. Perform welcome calls, obtain insurance card information, allergy information, and other pertinent demographic information needed for patient care and keep adequate documentation of all calls performed per company policy. Complete any other non clinical calls required for smooth pharmacy operations.

• Collect copays and schedule delivery of prescription medications to prescriber offices or direct to patient while abiding by all HIPPA/privacy regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Communicate professionally and effectively, both in written and verbal form. Must have excellent phone service and be able to communicate clearly and with empathy and patience.

• Ability to pay attention to details, troubleshoot prescriber and patient issues; must document all interactions and be able to to work with simple google and excel worksheets and be a fast typer.

Required Education / Training

• High School Diploma or G.E.D

Preferred experience

• At least one (1) years of pharmacy experience or doctor's office experience. Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required
