Description
The Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered care and assignments for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the clinic. Tasks that are delegated to the PCT may include:
+ Recording vital statistics and other basic data collection
+ Administer basic health care and medical treatments
+ Select point of care testing and/or collection of non-invasive specimen collection
+ Clean and stock treatment and/or exam rooms
+ Prepare patient treatment areas for use
+ Prepare and clean medical equipment
+ Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
+ Adheres to and promotes the established values of the organization
Strong communication, customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are needed on a daily basis.
Hours/Shifts
64 hours biweekly, day shifts.
Compensation
Wage Range: $17.99 - $23.04/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.
+ Education/Special Skills: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
+ Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
+ Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
+ Must be able to attend the work site as scheduled.
+ Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
+ BLS required upon hire or obtained within 3 months of hire.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both orally and in writing.
