Position Description
St. Augustine Preparatory Academy is seeking a candidate to fill a full-time Development Events
and Stewardship Specialist. The successful candidate will shine the light of Jesus in every
interaction they have. This candidate should have attention to detail and the ability to
problem-solve for our Development team. The Development Events and Stewardship Specialist
will work with the Augustine Prep team to support our events and ensure our donors are
properly stewarded for their gifts. Event attendee and donor relationships build on each other
and this role will play a critical part in ensuring we put our best foot forward to help grow and
foster meaningful relationships.
Reporting Structure: The Development Events and Stewardship Specialist will report to the
Donor Relations and Events Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities & Roles:
• Event record keeping
• Maintains and updates constituent records and manages donor lists to support
events
• Track event registration and attendance in our trackers and database
• Provides monthly/weekly/daily reports as it relates to events
• Event Logistics
• Coordinates team event purchasing, such as giveaways and supplies as needed
• Support event needs (i.e. tracking, ordering, and organization)
• Oversee post-event activities, including donor recognition, stewardship, and
evaluation of event success
• Support vendor coordination, organization, and execution
• On-site setup, troubleshooting, and oversight
• Event communications and storytelling
• Support in story gathering, writing, and production
• Assists production and distribution of event mailing
• Donor stewardship
• Help steward current donors through cultivation and engagement activities
• With direction from the team, develop administrative briefs for prospective donors
as needed
• In partnership with our Development Writer create creative content to help share
impact stories with donors
Qualifications
•A belief in the ability of every child and a commitment to ensure excellence for each
student
•Strong design skills and familiarity with Canva and InDesign is preferred
• Participating member in a local church
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in executing a vision for an event from start to finish
• Ability to pull together accurate reports
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects, produce high-quality results in a timely
manner, and work collaboratively and independently
• Interact effectively with a wide variety of people
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience in event planning and project planning is preferred
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision
• A team player committed to the St. Augustine Preparatory team
• Lastly and most importantly, the candidate must demonstrate and possess the highest
integrity and be able to live the values, beliefs, and culture of St. Augustine Preparatory
