    The Procurement Specialist is a full-time position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $23.93 - $26.33 per hour (equivalent to $49,774 - $54,766 annually); however, an exact salary will be determined based upon the selected candidate's qualifications and in compliance with City policy. Applicants will be considered for the position level at which they qualify.

     

    In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining vendor records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies. Essential functions include setting up new vendors, assisting with RFPs and ITBs, managing the City's purchasing portals, and conducting training for accounts payable clerks. The position also involves processing Purchase Orders, assisting with eVA Quick Quotes, and responding to departmental purchasing inquiries. Additionally, you'll research and recommend process improvements and frequently interact with vendors and other city departments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Associate’s degree with coursework in purchasing, marketing, business management, or related field and considerable (3-5 years) experience in the purchasing and contracting of a variety of services, supplies, materials, and equipment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement.
