Position Description:
The Enterprise IT Business Analyst III scope of responsibility includes understanding the business goals and processes of Texas Tech departments, ability to use this knowledge to document business processes, serve as a liaison between central IT and functional departments assisting in support of software applications and manage business analyst projects, as needed. Additional responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to business areas, assisting in implementation and configurations of software applications, and suggesting improvements in business processes as automation is implemented. The IT Business Analyst will document project definitions and business needs for automation use by the programming staff. Enterprise positions are restricted for use in central IT Division areas reporting up to the institutional CIO and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership and/or functional leadership from the Texas Tech University System institutions.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Provide first-level technical support for M365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune administration, windows autopilot and other Microsoft services
+ Guide users through technical issues related to various applications via phone, email, chat, and remote support tools
+ Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to email, cloud storage, collaboration tools, and Office applications
+ Assist in the set up, administration and maintenance of M365 user accounts, licenses, and security settings
+ Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems
+ Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
+ Stay up-to-date with M365 updates, new features, and industry best practices
+ Educate end-users on best practices and efficient use of Office 365 tools
+ Responsible to complete end user ticket requests by using TTUHSC El Paso ticketing system and occasionally assigned to assist with transfer of equipment and imagining of new PC/Laptops/, etc.
+ Be available after hours for on- call schedule
+ Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position
+ Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Thorough knowledge of supervisory and training techniques
+ Thorough knowledge of the operational and technical problems involved in the administration of a specialized program Ability to adapt, integrate, and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied packaged programs for use with existing information systems
+ Thorough knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft applications, utilities, and other highly technical programs
+ Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions
+ Ability to work under stress of deadlines
+ Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to the staff and various customer groups
+ Ability to coordinate and adjust work load effectively
+ 1-3 years of experience in IT support, with a focus on M365
+ Strong knowledge of M365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
+ Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, and user account management
