About the Role
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Quality Engineer to ensure quality compliance and continuous improvement across both our external supplier network and internal material flow. This is a highly cross-functional role supporting Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning, and Logistics. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and enjoys solving problems across every phase of the supply chain.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Quality Management
+ 3+ years of experience in quality or supply chain engineering in a manufacturing environment
+ Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and quality systems (AS9100, ISO 9001)
+ Hands-on experience with supplier audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
+ Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPC, Excel, Minitab, or equivalent)
+ Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
+ APICS or ASQ certifications (e.g., CPIM, CQE, CQA)
+ Familiarity with ERP systems and material traceability requirements
Key Responsibilities
+ Qualify and evaluate new and existing suppliers through audits and capability assessments
+ Monitor and improve supplier KPIs (PPM, OTD, NCR trends)
+ Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
+ Manage and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and PPAPs per AS9102 and customer requirements
+ Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer-specific quality standards across the supply chain
+ Audit and optimize internal material handling, inventory accuracy, and process adherence
+ Oversee internal quality controls for receiving, kitting, inventory movement, and transfers
+ Support MRB processes and drive timely resolution of non-conforming material issues
+ Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Planning to ensure seamless material flow and minimize quality risks
+ Support internal and external audits and maintain documentation for full traceability
+ Participate in PFMEA and other proactive quality planning efforts
+ Drive initiatives to reduce waste, improve supply chain robustness, and enhance KPIs such as inventory turnover and scrap rate
+ Perform additional duties as assigned and follow all DG safety procedures
