    The Husky Health Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Husky Health Practice Manager to join their team.

     

    The Husky Health Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing clinic operations, including human resources, communications, financial management, and quality assurance. Key responsibilities include managing staff scheduling, development, and performance; ensuring efficient clinic operations aligned with organizational goals; overseeing budgets and staffing models; and supporting quality care standards and regulatory compliance. This role emphasizes team building, proactive leadership, clear communication, and maintaining a supportive, professional work environment.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Human Resources Management

    + Works with supervisors and leads to direct the activities of staff within the clinic. Plans and schedules work coverage for employees, ensuring adequate staffing to meet the clinic's needs.

    + Ensures employees understand their responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities. Promotes the retention of quality staff.

    + Maintains competent employees through orientation, evaluation, feedback, continuing education, competency standards, and formal disciplinary processes.

    + Maintains staff time and payroll records in Workday.

    + Support employee development through coaching, performance feedback, and identification of internal growth opportunities. **Communications & Operations**

    + Implement programs, systems, and services that support Husky Health policy and strategy decisions.

    + Regularly monitor performance against goals and take corrective action as needed in collaboration with the Operations Director and Human Resources Manager.

    + Oversee the implementation of operating procedures, practice management systems, and standard work processes that support clinic operations.

    + Provide leadership and direction to clinic employees in line with organizational goals and objectives.

    + Promote team building by organizing regular team activities, fostering open communication, encouraging collaboration, and creating opportunities for team members to develop trust and rapport.

    + Ensure timely, transparent communication to staff regarding policy changes, operational updates, and organizational priorities.

    + Maintain a visible leadership presence in the clinic and foster a culture where staff feel heard, respected, and supported. **Planning and Financial Management**

    + Communicate organizational information to and from clinic staff, physicians, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including clinic performance in benchmarked areas.

    + Manage supply expenses for each clinical department.

    + Monitor clinic capacity issues and take action to resolve problems.

    + Develop clinic staffing models aligned with organizational goals and clinic needs, ensuring adequate staffing is scheduled.

    + Demonstrate proactive leadership in identifying issues, creating action plans, and holding teams accountable for follow-through **Quality Management**

    + Support the achievement of quality, service, and access standards.

    + Aim to quickly resolve patient complaints and concerns about care and service while ensuring patient satisfaction.

    + Prepare for, maintain, and comply with accreditation and regulatory standards; incorporate regulatory updates into practice. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

    + A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience producing comparable knowledge and abilities.

    + Three to five years of supervisory experience or equivalent in a healthcare setting. **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration** **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

    + Washington State Certified Medical Assistant

    + Master's in Healthcare or Business-related degree

    + Prior experience as a clinic manager or comparable position

    + Experience with Epic electronic medical records and scheduling

    + Experience with UW Medical Center and/or UW Primary Clinics

    + Knowledge and experience with the UW HR system/processes

    + Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

    + Capable of handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and addressing various issues and evolving situations daily.

    + Requires strong critical thinking skills to support effective decision-making and problem-solving.

    + Must demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, scheduling, and compliance.
